Al Ghurair Printing & Publishing notched up a magnificent seven prizes at the 2014 Dubai International Print Award ceremony held in April. The company scooped two Gold awards, one Silver and four Bronze. The first Gold came in the ‘Offset Printing – Directory’ category and was awarded for an ‘Industrial Products & Services’ publication praised for its “excellent finishing, good combination of materials and production techniques”.
The second Gold came in the ‘Digital Printing – Annual Report’ category which related to a publication produced for the CBI and praised by the judges for “illustrating an excellent standard for work of this kind”. The Silver award was bagged in the ‘Web Offset Printing – Catalogue’ category while three of the four Bronze awards were in the Digital Printing categories for Calendar, Flyer and POS Material respectively. The final Bronze came in the ‘Offset Printing – Catalogue’ category.
The awards were collected on stage by Lakshmanan Ganapathy, General Manager of Al Ghurair Printing & Publishing, the printing arm of parent company Al Ghurair Investment LLC and an industry pioneer in the Gulf and Middle East since its inception 36 years ago. AGPP previously won four awards at the 2013 event.
The Dubai International Print Awards (DIPA) are held under the patronage of Dubai’s Deputy Ruler, HH Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and under the auspices of Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry. The DIPA awards are recognized as the most prestigious – and the benchmark of quality for the UAE print industry.
